While the MRSP is pretty damn high, I did manage to buy this particular pair along with Hanes Men’s X-Temp Thermal Pant, Medium, Red for comparison purposes.Hanes – $10.75 (recently listed for $14.00)CYZ – $8.99 (recently listed at $9.99)ProsBest value for the money. No need to yank your legs through one at a time (see my Hanes review for “yanking” results)ConsA bit big in the crotch. Not a lot of color options. After washing and wearing these two pairs for a month, CYZ is still going strong with no complaints. Whereas with Hanes, it now has two holes. It would be awesome to have CYZ in the fireman red color but beggars can’t be choosers. But buyers can be choosers with getting the best value for their money and CYZ won the chicken dinner.Hope this helps you out.

Husband likes these. He wears a large. At 6ft and 160 pounds. I have had many issues with getting him thermals that are not made for little people such as me. I sure wish the textile companies would get their sizing together. These fit perfectly with room where it’s needed and they don’t start climbing up his legs.

All these long johns seem to be very high-waisted with a long inseam. In this case, these are thin enough you can just roll the top over once and they’re fine. I like this style and fit pretty well for all winter long. There are more expensive brands out there, but these are great for the money. What’s more, I prefer them to the silk ones as well as the thicker “thermal” Dickeys or whatever the other “working man’s” underwear are called. These are a practical weight to wear under both dress pants and jeans. You couldn’t ask for much more.

I love these long johns. My job requires me to be outside a lot and I wasn’t sure if this cheap pair of thermal pants would work for me as well as the more expensive counterparts. When they arrived, I tried them on, and they fit well over my regular underwear under my pants without adding unnecessary bulk. They do a good job of keeping my legs warm with one major exception… wind. When the wind blow strong (which happens quite a bit at work) I can feel the bite all the way through. Maybe this would be an issue with other thermals as well, but I need a little bit better coverage. Other than that, they work really well. They keep me warm sans wind and fit comfortably. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to the more expensive thermals.

These are very comfortable long johns. They are the first pairs I’ve ever owned and I couldn’t be more pleased. I hardly knew I was wearing them and they didn’t make my legs sweat or anything. I wear a size 32 pants and the medium fit perfectly.

  6. Celsus

Good quality lightweight waffle knit thermal pants–just what my DH was looking for. Kingsize (the company) used to carry these but they don’t anymore–they only sell the heavyweight waffle knits now, and those are too thick and warm to sleep in–yes–these light weight waffle knits are perfect as pyjamas! The cuffs on the pants keep the heat in–unlike uncuffed flannel (or fleece) pyjama pants. My DH has a 36″ inseam and I used to buy him the Tall Large from Kingsize, but these size Large are long enough. I bought 3 pairs to stock up 8>)

  7. Ghostie One

These are the nicest thermal pants bottoms that I have ever purchased. They are very warm and comfortable and they are sized perfectly. The CYZ Thermal Pants elastic waist band material is very wide, which means they stay up well and they are very comfortable to the waist. If I had not bought as many as I did I would have re-ordered this product without a doubt. I will never wear my older narrow elastic long john bottoms ever again, they are going in the rag bag.

  8. J. Nestlerode

I bought these and a pair of ColdPruf thermals to compare. I thought the CYZ were superior for a couple reasons:1) Although they were both 60/40 cotton/poly, the fabrics were very different. CYZ is more like a traditional waffle weave, medium weight, not too heavy, nice quality fabric. The polyester in the blend makes it feel more like a “performance” fabric that the old-timey waffle weave 100% cotton thermals of yore. The ColdPruf was more like a light fleece material – if you have rough hands in the winter, they would catch on this fabric, and I think it would be more likely to pill, catch, and pull in general.2) The CYZ were a full 6″ longer than the ColdPrufs. One of my complaints of thermals has always been that after a couple washes, they shrink up in length and suddenly you have low-riders that feel like they are falling down and you are constantly pulling them up. (TMI?) These CYZ give you extra length, so that is not an issue. They fit comfortably and snug. (The extra length does not make them baggy in the ankles.)3) As other reviewers for the ColdPruf thermals have noted, they are extremely tight around the ankles. Like difficult-to-get-off, cutting-your-skin tight. The CYZ have normal, nicely fitting ankle cuffs – not too tight, snug and just right. So to summarize, I really like the way these fit, and I really like the fabric. And that’s pretty much all that matters for a pair of thermals. I will be buying more of these. Oh, and the CYZ were actually $2 cheaper than the ColdPruf, too.

Sadly, the left seam in the crotch area tore a medium sized hole after 6 uses in less than a month. I wore them under jeans while at work. Bending over occasionally, standing for long periods of time, and sitting. Nothing of extreme stress on the fabric. They were very comfortable and fit marvelous. I will return and get another pair in hopes of more use. There’s always a chance of a faulty single product. But for less than $10 I feel they did a good job. Besides a slight breeze on the boys, the johns are still functional. I’m 180 lbs, 38w38length and the large was perfect. I’ll try an extra large and see if that works better.Almost all the thermal pants I’ve tried had too much space below the waist, making it hard to wear under my jeans, but these were perfect.I’ve linked my approval to this product in reviews of more expensive brands, hopefully I won’t have to remove that recommendation.

I am 6 Foot and hovering close to 300 lbs and the large fit well. Tight enough but not too tight. Plenty of room in the nether regions, not too hot but definitely keeps heat in. They worked well for me with just pants in 25 ish degree weather but again Im a big dude with plenty of winter insulation and coat.
